Carowinds blends big-time thrills with easygoing family fun across more than 60 rides, live entertainment, and flavorful dining. Families can head to CAMP SNOOPY®-now featuring SNOOPY'S® Racing Railway and CHARLIE BROWN'S® River Raft Blast-for shareable, high-energy adventures with SNOOPY® and the PEANUTS® Gang.

Aviation fans can explore Aeronautica Landing experiences such as Air Racers and Hover & Dodge, then refuel at Terminal A. Thrill seekers chase headline coasters including Fury 325®, Copperhead Strike®, and hyper-coaster favorite Thunder Striker.

When it's time to cool off, Carolina Harbor waterpark is included with admission and features slides, wave pools, kid-friendly play-and the Carolina Harbor Shore Club, an adults-only oasis with a swim-up pool bar.

Carowinds' Chaperone Policy

The safety of our guests and associates has always been our top priority at Carowinds. In recent past there have been increasing incidents of unruly and inappropriate behavior across our industry and at other major entertainment venues.

We are committed to keeping Carowinds a place where families and friends come together to enjoy a one-of-a-kind park full of fun experiences and immersive entertainment.

Under this policy, all guests aged 17 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to and remain in the park.

The Chaperone Policy is in effect daily beginning at 2:00 PM local time. Carowinds reserves the right to implement the policy earlier on any given day, which will be clearly communicated through official channels (e.g., website, app, social media, signage).

The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry. One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than ten (10) guests ages 17 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay.

Guests may be asked to present a valid government-issued photo identification (Driver's license, state-issued ID Card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guests may be denied entry into the park.

Guests aged 17 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone when the Chaperone Policy is in effect will be subject to ejection. This chaperone requirement applies to all guests attending Carowinds.

We believe these changes will help ensure that Carowinds continues to have a positive atmosphere where generations of families and friends can gather for a day of safe fun and good food. Millions of guests have counted on us for exactly that, and we will continue to deliver on that promise for generations to come.

Notice: Carowinds Security personnel utilize surveillance cameras and body worn cameras as part of their overall security program.
