Tips & Information

From a waist-deep platform, participants can spend time with our trainers learning what it takes to care for our dolphin family. Learn about dolphin habitat, physiology, and conservation. Participants will have hands on fun and exciting experience interacting with the dolphins. Guests will then float in deep water to and interact with the dolphin in this fun adventure.

Included with your Dolphin Exploration ticket is admission to Sea Life Park Hawaii.

Sea Life Park Exhibit and Experiences:

• Shark Cave – 300,000 gallon exhibit featuring Hawaiian reef life and sharks

• Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle Lagoon –outdoor exhibit and sandy beach with the only active breeding and nesting colony of green sea turtles in the U.S.

• Penguin Habitat- Humboldt penguin habitat and swimming area.

• Discovery Reef Touch Pool-waterfalls, pools and reef ledges with sea stars, urchins, and even baby honu (Hawaiian green sea turtles) to touch plus small underwater tunnel to watch fish swim by.

• Hale Manu Bird Aviary-House of birds with over 300 colorful love birds and cockatiels.

• Hawaiian Reef Lagoon- Hawaiian reef animals from above the water including stingrays, whitetip reef sharks, and tropical reef fish!

• Sea Lion Habitat Nursery - Rescue California sea lions divide their time between basking and eating.

• Conservation Exhibit-an interactive, educational learning space with conservation topics that include marine debris, green sea turtles and other marine life.

• Seabird Sanctuary- Rehabilitated mix of Hawaiian tropical seabirds including booby birds and Great Frigate seabirds.

• Honu Nursery – watch the youngest turtles swim in a natural environment where we are growing seaweed native to Hawaii to replenish the state’s reefs.

• Kolohe Kai – view younger whitetip reef sharks up-close as they are fed by our staff.

Please note: Beginning Thursday, October 10, the Hawai`i Ocean Theater will be the new home for our bottlenose dolphins as we work on routine habitat maintenance at Dolphin Lagoon. The Dolphin Exploration program will temporarily be closed during the lagoon maintenance until December 2, 2024.
