Tips & Information

Make a day of sun-soaked fun at Hurricane Harbor Rockford, a water park designed for all ages with a mix of high thrill slides and family zones. The park features Illinois' largest wave pool at Tsunami Bay, offering rolling surf and plenty of room to spread out.

When it is time to unwind, drift along Castaway Creek- the park's lazy river- and enjoy an easygoing float. The water park touts 11 attractions overall, including a 1,200 foot lazy river, so there is something to match every energy level.

Thrill seekers can take on Tidal Wave, the Midwest's first and only tailspin waterslide, or race down Riptide Rush with its 75 foot near vertical plunge. The five story Bermuda Triangle delivers three distinct slide paths, while Typhoon Terror sends rafts through 230 feet of twists before a dramatic funnel finale. Paradise Pipelines winds down four stories, and The Abyss plunges riders into dark, twisting tubes.

Families with younger kids can splash together at Caribbean Cove, a multi-level play structure crowned by a tipping bucket that dumps 1,000 gallons, and Little Lagoon, a gentler spot for little swimmers. Conveniently located near the intersection of I-90 and I-39 in Cherry Valley-just minutes from downtown Rockford- the park is easy to reach for a quick getaway.
