Discovery Tour:
Breathtaking views around every corner, this tour is a journey through the first chambers discovered at Natural Bridge Caverns. Informed tour guides will walk you through the cavern with educational stops along the way. These awe inspiring and spectacular natural formations, including soda straws, flowstone, stalagmites and stalactites have grown over thousands of years – and thanks to our ongoing stewardship, continue to grow today.
Hidden Wonders Tour:
Discovered completely hidden underground, this new tour now takes you through chambers filled with expertly lit delicate formations, and a natural, spectacular ballroom (available for events!). Featuring the B.A.T. – the Belt Assisted Transport – the only conveyor system ride out of a cavern in the world, and a sound and light show designed to tell the geological story of this incredible cavern. Led by knowledgeable guides, you’ll be amazed at the beauty and vastness formed through a process of rock, water, and time.
Lantern Tour:
In 1960, four college students entered what was then an unpromising opening beneath a little-known limestone rock bridge—an opening that soon led to one of the state’s most stunning discoveries. This tour recreates that first exploration of Discovery Cavern, guided only by handheld lanterns. Unlike the original explorers, who climbed through mud and over rocks, guests walk paved paths with handrails. Along the way, they hear the story of those first discoverers who, on their fourth expedition, uncovered what would become the largest cavern in Texas.
Duration: Tours depart frequently throughout the day at the times listed. Tours take approximately 75 minutes.
Age Limit: All ages are welcome: Children under 3 are free.
There is a designated area for stroller parking.
Pets are welcome, but only service animals are allowed inside the caverns. Free outdoor kennels are available.
A fee shall be applied to each ticket for any changes to the scheduled date or time.
